In November 2015 we planted 1,000 English bluebell bulbs in Sandy Dell using a grant from The Tree Council. They flowered the following spring and are helping to return this small woodland to a more natural state following the removal of a large quantity of Spanish bluebells. Our task for November is to remove some of the ground elder which is hiding the flowers.
While we are there we will also check the path is clear and take out some invasive laurel.
Meet at the corner of Widley Gardens / Privett Road at 9.30am
Boots or stout shoes are advised.
We welcome new volunteers, so if you would like to join us please come along. You do not need experience of conservation work and there is no obligation to attend every task. Please refer to the FAQs or use the Contact Us form to request more information.
