In June we will continue our long-term programme of eradicating Spanish bluebells and hybrids.
We should be able to finish the job in Sandy Dell which will allow us to replant with native bluebell bulbs, adding to the 1,000 bulbs we planted there November 2015. We will then move on to the small woodland to the side of Widley Gardens.
Don’t worry if you can’t tell the difference between Spanish bluebells and native bluebells, the differences will be explained with examples.
Meet at the corner of Privett Road and Widley Gardens at 9.30am. Parking is available in Widley Gardens.
We welcome new volunteers. You do not need experience of conservation work and there is no obligation to attend every task. Please refer to the FAQs or use the Contact form to request more information.
