There are some Spanish bluebells at the side of the footpath at Marrelsmoor Coppice and, if they  are sufficiently advanced for identification, we will dig them out, taking care not to remove the English bluebells we planted.  We intend to plant more English bluebells at a later stage.

We have received some wild flower seeds from Grow Wild UK and we will prepare the ground and sow the Woodland Wonders seed mixture to add some colour to the area.

We also need to tie the trees to stakes in the fruiting hedge at The Bog.

Meet at Marrelsmoor Coppice (opposite the One Stop in Purbrook) at 9.30am.  There should be room to park at the side of the road in Marrelswood Gardens (off the Ladybridge Roundabout).  Alternatively, there is a free public car park off Ladybridge Road.

Boots or stout shoes are advised.  If we have more rain before Sunday it would be a good idea to wear Wellingtons, particularly for anyone working on The Bog.

We welcome new volunteers, so if you would like to join us please come along.  You do not need experience of conservation work and there is no obligation to attend every task.  Please refer to the FAQs or use the Contact Us form to request more information.
